Günter Leicher is the Managing Director of Knight Piésold Namibia and is based in the Windhoek office. He has extensive local knowledge and has been involved in civil design and construction work, site supervision, proposal documentation, plan drafting, and detailed surveying on projects throughout Namibia. He has worked on major projects like the Neckartal Dam, which involved labor-based construction of a 330 km rural water supply network and a 183 km railway embankment as well as training of 20 students to become labor-based contractors.
Günter also has professional experience in the development of industrial parks, shopping centres, warehouses, hotels, and sports facilities. As the Managing Director of the Namibian practice, Günter is also responsible for the satellite offices in Ondangwa and Keetmanshoop. He holds a National Diploma in civil engineering from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and a B.Tech. in civil engineering from the University of South Africa, and is a registered Incorporated Engineer with the Engineering Professions Association of Namibia.
