Our Commitment to the Community

At Knight Piésold, we are committed to being socially responsible and as a result engage in philanthropic activities that include cooperative programs to ensure contributions to the general public, assistance for environmental problems, and help with the promotion of cultural advancement.

Our goal is to support the communities that we do business in whether they are local, national, or international.

Knight Piésold (Pty) Ltd. (South Africa) is proud to be involved with the following programs:

Christ Church Christian Care Centre

Knight Piésold has been involved in very exciting and beneficial social upliftment projects. The company has been sponsoring a child at the Christ Church Christian Care Centre in Berea, Johannesburg since July 2006. The centre was established in July 2000 to care for children of families affected by HIV/Aids. It provides accommodation, education, counselling and a family life to many kids in the townships around Berea, ranging from the ages of one to 20.

Realogile High School

Knight Piésold strives to make a difference in the communities in which it operates in and understands the importance of ploughing back and focusing on uplifting young people. Realogile High School in Alexandra, Johannesburg is one of the schools that Knight Piésold supports. We contributed study guides and lab equipment (i.e. natural science kit, chemistry kit, physics kit and life science kit) for senior grades at the school. By forming partnerships with the beneficiaries, we hope to inspire, encourage, nurture, recognize potential and produce learned and employable people.

Jabulani Technical High School

Knight Piésold is committed to promoting the potential of young engineers in this country. Our Bokamoso Social Development Scheme aims to facilitate an interest in math and science in underprivileged secondary schools. As part of this initiative, Knight Piésold has sponsored Jabulani Technical High School in Soweto, which has an average of 1,400 learners every year. We supplied the school with Engineering Graphics and Design (EGD) equipment (text books, T-squares, protractors, pencils, etc.). We also offer support in different ways to inspire the learners by sending them to relevant expos, involving them in job shadow days, and many more.
