Ph.D., NPER, RPEQ, CPEng, MIEAustDr. Jim Luo is the Geotechnical Services Manager at Knight Piésold Australia and is based in the Perth office. He has been worked in the mining, civil, and building industries for more than 30 years, specializing in geotechnical investigation, slope stabilization, deep foundations, embankment construction, ground improvement, tunnelling, underpinning, numerical modelling and geotechnical instrumentation, etc.
He has been involved in numerous projects in complex geotechnical conditions in Australia, Singapore, Papua New Guinea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia, and Africa.
Jim is a Registered Professional Engineer of the National Professional Engineer Register (NPER), Australia; a Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ); a Chartered Professional Engineer of the Institution of Engineers Australia (CPEng); a Member of the Institution of Engineers Australia (MIEAust); and a Registered Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering, Professional Engineers Board (PE), Singapore.
