Brett Loney is the Environmental Services Manager at Knight Piésold Australia and is based in the Perth office. He is an environmental scientist with over 30 years of experience across a range of industries. He has extensive experience in environmental impact assessments and environmental issues management. Brett has developed standards and procedures to enable work to meet current and future environmental sustainability. His work has involved extensive liaison with government bodies and community groups in Australia and internationally.
He has worked as both the client and the consultant on environmental and sustainable development management systems, and a number of pre-feasibility and bankable feasibility projects within the mining industry. Projects that Brett has undertaken include: carbon review and multi-criteria analysis for power station option, and mine closure plans.
He is intimately aware of the level of information required to satisfy regulator and institutional lender demands as well as actively applying the requirements of the International Finance Corporation in developing nations.
Brett is a member of the International Association of Landscape Ecologists, member of the International Association of Impact Assessment, member of the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand, and a member of the Society of Sustainability and Environmental Engineering, Institution of Engineers Australia.
