Located on the banks of the River Thames in the heart of the City of London, Knight Piésold UK’s office offers a prime work location with stunning views. Situated between London Bridge and Tower Bridge, it is close to excellent transport links, including three mainline rail termini within a mile and a London Underground station (Monument) within a few hundred yards, as well as being on many London bus routes.
Not only is London one of the world’s top financial centres, with close to 200 mining companies listed on the London Stock Exchange, it is also considered by many to be the cultural capital of the world. Being based in London gives you access to unrivalled stage theatre, musical theatre in the West End, art galleries, museums, music of all types, as well as prime sporting events, such as the Premier League football, Wimbledon tennis, cricket at Lords or the Oval, rugby at Twickenham, and the London Marathon, to name only a few. If nightlife is your scene, options range from local pubs to sophisticated nightclubs, while dining ranges from international street food at pop-up lunch kiosks to fine dining at Michelin-starred restaurants. Just across London Bridge from the office is the world famous Borough Market—foodie heaven.
A career with Knight Piésold, based in our rapidly growing London office, will give you the opportunity to work on interesting and challenging projects worldwide. Our focus is on mining projects in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia, but you could find yourself almost anywhere given the very close links we have within the global Knight Piésold group. Our team specialises in geotechnics, particularly related to mine waste and open pit or underground mining. We carry out much of our work on operating facilities, as well as carrying out feasibility studies at all stages of a project and due diligence services for mine financing.
Technical excellence is fundamental to Knight Piésold, and opportunities abound in London for continuous professional development both internally through regular global seminars and with the numerous institutions in London relevant to our work.
