Oshoopala and Extension 16 Bridges

The project involved the construction of the new Oshoopala Bridge over the Okandjengedi Stream of the Okatana River. The bridge consists of in-situ reinforced concrete, with a total of three units of three openings that are 3-m-wide and 2.70-m-high, accommodating a single-carriageway road.

The project also involved the construction of the new Extension 16 Bridge over the Okatana River. The bridge consists of in-situ reinforced concrete, with a total of five units of three openings that are 3-m-wide and 2.70-m-high, accommodating a single-carriageway road.

Knight Piésold’s Role

Knight Piésold provided detailed engineering design, including geotechnical investigation, technical documentation, cost estimations, and the preparation of construction drawings and contract documents. Additional services included tendering, adjudication and award of contract, contract management, and site supervision of construction phase.

UWP Consulting completed the structural bridge design.
