Position
Head of Environmental ServicesMarcelo García is the Head of Environmental Services at Knight Piésold Argentina and is based in the Mendoza office. He has over 15 years of professional experience with planning, developing, and executing mining and environmental projects, mainly related to the energy and the industrial sectors.
In the mining industry, he has prepared environmental impact reports, closure plans, environmental commitment matrices, environmental status reports, environmental audits, hydrochemical characterizations of aquifers, revegetation plans, and studies to determine environmental liabilities, among other works.
In the oil sector, he has conducted environmental characterizations and assessments of soils and aquifers; restoration and revegetation plans for hydrocarbon-contaminated areas; auditing and control of bioremediation treatments; and diagnosis, treatment, and remediation of salinized soils.
