Nature and location of proposed activities: Located approximately 25 km north-east of Noordoewer, along Namibia’s southern border. The proposed activities include: 

• An open-pit copper mine,
• On-site processing plant,
• Tailings and waste storage facilities,
• Solar photovoltaic (PV) plant,
• Off-Channel Storage Dam, and associated pipeline and booster pump stations,
• Access roads,
• Power supply lines and
• Supporting infrastructure

If approved, construction will take 2–3 years, with a mine life of approximately 33 years.
