The Role:

  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Issue timely and accurate financial information for internal and external reporting in accordance with both US GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Review/Analyze job cost reporting and project profitability.
  • Assist with the production of the annual budget and other financial forecasts.
  • Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate Company initiatives or special projects.
  • Assist with the annual financial audits including the preparation of audit work papers.
  • Assist with quarterly MD&A reporting.
  • Reconciliation of intercompany transactions across multiple currencies.
  • Research tax treaties and manage foreign tax withholding.  
  • Review bi-weekly payroll and resolve payroll tax matters by working with HR Director and HRIS provider.
  • Participate in the Company 401K planning committee.
  • Participate as a member of the team for the Company ISO certifications.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Accounting/Finance team.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company policy and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, directing work, and delivering performance reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • CPA license preferred.
  • Consulting firm experience within the Mining and Hydropower industries preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible financial leadership roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Outstanding analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel Applications required.
  • Management and training of ERP Systems preferred.
  • Experience with Vantagepoint and Intranet APIs a plus.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.

Compensation:

In accordance with Colorado state law, the following annual compensation range is applicable for the job and Colorado location associated with this requisition: $120,000 – $155,000/year. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based upon compensable factors, including experience, education, and skill level.
