Located on the north bank of the River Thames in the heart of the City of London, the rapidly growing London office has undertaken over 300 assignments in more than 60 countries since being re-established in the country in 2013 after an absence of 10 years.

Knight Piésold UK focuses in the mining industry and on exploring opportunities in the construction and energy industries in Europe, Russia, Central Asia, and North Africa. We specialise in geotechnics, particularly related to mine waste management and open pit or underground mining. Our work includes operating facilities as well as greenfield projects from conceptual, feasibility to detailed design, construction supervision and monitoring. We provide mining-related due diligence services for London-based financial institutions and insurers.

From our base in London, we work for major global mining houses, providing review and audit services for mine waste facilities worldwide. We also have particular expertise in optimising tailings management for small-scale mines in challenging regulatory frameworks or sensitive locations.

Our senior geotechnical engineers provide expert witness services to the construction and mining industry and are involved in various high-profile cases, principally relating to ground conditions.

In 2023, Knight Piésold UK received a Silver Award, from a Bronze Award in 2022, under the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme, which recognises commitment and support from UK employers for current and former defence personnel.
