Ph.D., P.E.Dr. Peter Duryea is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer based in Knight Piésold’s Denver office. He specializes in civil and geotechnical engineering with over 25 years of consulting and four years of experience as a research associate with a major “Research One” university. He has worked on diverse projects, including geotechnical analyses and designs for plant sites, heap leach facilities, and tailings storage facilities for the mining industry.
He has also worked in stormwater hydrology, highway engineering, and research regarding unsaturated soils, groundwater recharge, and the consolidation behavior of infiltration pond sediments. Dr. Duryea is a registered professional engineer in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, and Nevada.
