P.Eng., P.E.Carlos Chaparro is a Specialist Geotechnical Engineer based in Knight Piésold’s Vancouver office. He has over 20 years of geotechnical engineering and construction consulting experience in the civil, power, and mining industries worldwide.
His experience includes soil and rock slope stability analyses for civil related projects (transportation, power, and pipeline projects) and open pits (mines); rock slope stabilization and rock fall mitigation assessments; construction monitoring; earthwork construction inspection; geotechnical site investigation; and foundation design. He has gained significant fieldwork experience and strong computer analytical skills in the field of geotechnical engineering. His project experience includes Canada, USA, and Latin America. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
