Paul Ridlen

Paul Ridlen is a member of the Knight Piésold Group’s Board of Directors. He served as President and Regional Manager of Knight Piésold’s operations in the United States, Brazil, and Mexico from 2017 to 2025 and remains engaged in technical and governance roles, including Engineer of Record, senior geotechnical engineer, and Independent Review Board member.

He has more than 35 years of professional experience in civil, geotechnical, and environmental engineering related to mining, water resources, energy, and public infrastructure projects. His experience includes planning, permitting, engineering, and construction support.

He has supported the design of some of the world’s largest tailings dams, working at mines in the United States, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Namibia, and Peru, and is experienced in all methods of tailings dam construction including filtered tailings facilities. He is experienced in the preparation of NI 43-101 reports and has been a Qualified Person for tailings and environmental.

He is currently licensed as a professional engineer in several states and is a member of the International Commission on Large Dams, U.S. Society on Dams; the Canadian Dam Association; the American Society of Civil Engineers; the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration; and other professional organizations.
