Sudhira Sewlal

Sudhira Sewlal is a Finance Director at Knight Piésold and is based in the Sandon office. With over 20 years of experience, she has led multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction finance operations across South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique, and the wider African and Middle Eastern regions, driving performance, compliance, and growth.

Sudhira holds a Bachelor of Accounting and a Diploma in Accounting from the University of Durban-Westville and is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Specialising in financial accounting and reporting, FP&A, taxation, treasury and exchange control, budgeting and cash flow management, and payroll governance, she has overseen payroll for 2,500 employees, managed audits and year-end reporting, and led M&A, integrations, and risk management. Her leadership centres on building high-performing teams, mentoring managers, and aligning finance with business strategy.

Prior to her current role, Sudhira served as Group Financial Controller at Knight Piésold and Financial Director at Royal HaskoningDHV, with earlier roles at CCI South Africa and Ernst & Young (including a US secondment).
