Tevan Govender

Tevan Govender leads Knight Piésold’s KwaZulu-Natal office as Regional Manager, driving innovation, technical excellence, and growth across the region. With extensive experience in civil engineering and a strong specialisation in pump and pipeline systems, he has successfully delivered high-value water, wastewater, and mining infrastructure projects throughout Southern Africa, including work in Botswana, Zambia, the DRC, Mozambique, and Eswatini. His expertise spans the full project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and design development to construction monitoring and commissioning.

A registered Professional Civil Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) with a BTech in Civil Engineering (Cum Laude), Tevan combines technical depth with strong leadership. His portfolio includes the design of complex slurry, water, and return water systems, stormwater management solutions, and large-scale bulk water transfer schemes.

He is actively engaged in the engineering community, serving on the CESA KZN Branch Committee, SAICE Durban, and previously as a national executive member of the CESA Young Professionals Forum. He has presented at industry conferences, sharing insights on digital engineering, water infrastructure, and professional development.
