Vishal Haripersad is the Managing Director of Knight Piésold Southern Africa and is based in the Sandton office. He is a professional engineer with 19 years of experience in the design, documentation, and contract administration of numerous civil engineering projects. He holds post graduate qualifications in business management and has been extensively involved over the past nine years in infrastructure and transportation engineering projects, leading teams in the analysis and compilation of bids and proposals, project execution plans and engineering design, and close out reports. He has extensive experience in the project management of large and complex projects and has extensive experience working with both private and public clients. His project experience extends throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, and he has been extensively involved in the successful development and execution of the expansion of the company within South Africa and into Zambia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Madagascar, and various other African countries. He currently serves as project director in these various countries across multiple work streams.

Vishal served the KwaZulu-Natal provincial branch of Knight Piésold as Regional Manager: Transport for a period of four years, before moving into the role of Operations Director where he served from September 2008 to August 2015. He is also an executive board member of CIVILAB (Pty) Ltd. Vishal also has a close connection with Consulting Engineers South Africa, a South African engineering consultancy governing body, serving in an advisory capacity on their Quality and Risk Committee. Due to a personal passion for community development, he has spearheaded several initiatives in order to promote mathematics and science in underprivileged schools in South Africa, including the sponsorship of much-needed study aids and laboratory equipment to selected schools in the country.
