Project Overview

Semafo Gold, through its subsidiary Birimian Resources SARL, completed an NI 43-101 compliant feasibility study on the Natougou Gold Project. The project is located 320 km east of Ouagadougou in the Tapoa Province. The project will comprise an open pit mine and CIP processing plant with a throughput of 4,000 tpd.

Tailings generated as part of mining operations will be stored in an engineered tailings storage facility proposed to be located to the northeast of the processing plant. The tailings will be thickened to percent solids of 62-64% prior to sub-aerial deposition into the proposed TSF. The TSF is proposed to be constructed by downstream construction methods in stages over the life of the project.
