Year of Formation and Background to Founding:
This year marks a historic milestone for Knight Piésold, whose roots go back 100 years in South Africa. Knight Piésold began operations on April 1, 1921, when founder Dr FE Kanthack established a private practice as a consulting engineer, and to date, the firm remains a truly uniquely South African firm that is committed to service excellence with a footprint across the world and in different sectors. Knight Piésold remains one of the longest serving consulting firms in Africa, which provides a unique perspective of the evolving consulting engineering landscape. The company has a presence in Namibia, Zambia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Botswana, Madagascar, Swaziland, Mauritius and South Africa. In Southern Africa, Knight Piésold is led by MD Vishal Haripersad.
