He is a civil engineer with 26 years of experience in providing civil and geotechnical engineering support to mining projects. His experience includes tailings dam design, project management, geotechnical investigations, construction supervision of tailings embankments and heap leach pads, stability and seepage modelling, and foundation assessments. He has project experience in Canada, USA, Cuba, and Romania. Les is a licensed professional engineer in British Columbia, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Alaska.
