Project Overview
Knight Piésold was appointed by the Palabora Mining Company to determine whether the landfill had adequate airspace until 2035, which is more than the original estimated life of mine. The appointment also included the design of a new landfill.
Project Role
Knight Piésold developed and obtained regulatory approval of the identified new cell of the landfill site. The capacity of the new cell should be able to accommodate waste for the new extended life of mine.
