Project Overview

The Rocklands Copper Project, located 110 km east of Mount Isa in northwest Queensland, has two mineralized bodies: Rocklands South and Las Minerale. Las Minerale has an aggregate length of copper mineralization of approximately 10 km. The project includes conventional open pit mining, onsite benefication plant, tailings storage facilities, waste rock facilities, surface water diversion, and site access.

Project Role

Knight Piésold was initially engaged at the pre-feasibly stage and has been retained through to final design and construction. We have been involved in many aspects of the project, including tailings, waste rock, surface water and sediment management design, and significant inputs to environmental permitting.
