Knight Piésold Canada Named Among British Columbia's Top Employers for Eleventh Year

February 15, 2023, Vancouver, BC, Canada – For the 11th year, Knight Piésold Canada has been named as one of BC's Top Employers, a special designation awarded to industry-leading employers in British Columbia. The editors at Canada’s Top Employers project recently announced the 2023 winners in a special magazine co-published with the Vancouver Sun.

“Being continuously recognized as a top employer is only possible because of our employees,” said Ken Embree, President of Knight Piésold Canada. “Everyone, from our recent hires to our long-term employees, has unique strengths and talents that all work in symphony and contribute to our success. This is ongoing and has been since we started in Vancouver in 1975.”

“Knight Piésold is so much more than a place to work—it is a place where you can build a lifelong, rewarding career. We recently celebrated a 50th work anniversary in the Vancouver office—one of the longest tenures ever at Knight Piésold. In recognition of this, Jeremy Haile, one of our former Presidents, received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Canadian Consulting Engineer.”

Now in its 18th year, BC's Top Employers is an editorial competition by the organizers of Canada’s Top Employers project. Editors evaluate employers throughout the province using the same eight criteria as Canada’s Top 100 Employers, the national competition. "This year's winners are exploring ways of recognizing employees that go beyond compensation in meaningful ways," added Kristina Leung, Managing Editor of the project.

“We have such a distinct culture at Knight Piésold that our employees choose to stay for years and years,” said Sam Mottram, Managing Principal at Knight Piésold Canada. “What also makes us special is our environment rich in learning and collaboration and in giving unparalleled support to our employees, not just in rewards and benefits, but to help them be the best they can be.” Detailed reasons for selection are accessible through the competition site.

Mottram added, “We are delighted to be an employer of choice that is sought after by recent graduates and experienced engineers, environmental scientists, technicians, and business support professionals. We are working on exciting mining, renewable energy, and water resources projects throughout British Columbia, across Canada, and around the world and are continuously looking for exceptional talent to join our team in our Vancouver and North Bay offices.”
