September 8, 2026, North Bay, ON, Canada – Knight Piésold Canada announces the opening of a new office hub in downtown Toronto, strengthening support for mining, power, and water resources clients while gaining immediate access to the country’s top talent pool.
Operating as an extension of the company’s North Bay office under the leadership of Managing Principal Craig Hall, the Toronto office re-establishes a physical presence in the city after more than three decades of serving Toronto-based clients through its North Bay and Vancouver offices.
Toronto serves as the epicentre of mining finance, acting as a launchpad for junior explorers and a magnet for global capital. Each spring, the city draws mining leaders from around the world for the PDAC Convention, the largest mining investment conference globally, where Knight Piésold Canada has long participated alongside colleagues from Knight Piésold offices worldwide.
“Our North Bay office has built an excellent reputation for mine waste and water management, rock mechanics, and environmental studies,” said Hall. “We are also actively pursuing opportunities in the power and water resources industries, and this new office allows us to strengthen relationships with Toronto-based clients while providing readily accessible, on-the-ground support.”
Beyond client service, the Toronto office positions the company within Canada’s leading hub for engineering and science graduates. “We now have access to the deep talent pool in Toronto and neighbouring areas, widening our opportunities for recruitment and long-term retention,” added Hall. “This helps us continue to attract top talent, develop our current team, and support sustainable growth.”
The expansion marks a new chapter of integration and growth following last year’s 50th anniversary milestone in Canada. Since its founding in 1975, Knight Piésold Canada has evolved to take on increasingly complex projects across the country and internationally, earning numerous awards for engineering excellence along the way, including the most recent ACEC-BC Award of Excellence for the 1,230 MW Site C Clean Energy Project.
With more than 250 professionals across its Canadian operations, the company continues to expand thoughtfully. The North Bay office recently relocated to a larger facility, and the Vancouver office space will expand in 2027. The Toronto office will integrate seamlessly with existing operations, maintaining the collaborative approach that has been central to the company’s success.
“Our success over the past five decades reflects the exceptional people who have helped us thrive,” said Hall. “We are very excited to continue building on that foundation and providing excellent service to our clients.”
