REng, MSc, MEIZBoston Katongo is a Principal Environmental Scientist based in Knight Piésold’s Kitwe office. He has over 20 years of experience in environmental monitoring, environmental impact assessment, and environmental auditing for mining projects in Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Recent assignments include the environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA) study of the proposed TD15A Tailings Storage Facility Capacity Increase and Buttressing Project in Zambia, the ESIA study for the proposed TD11 Tailings Storage Facility Buttressing Project in Zambia, and the ESIA study for the Bangweulu and Ngonye Solar PV Plants in the Lusaka South Multi-Facility Economic Zone in Zambia. He is also involved in project management of all environmental projects at Knight Piésold Zambia.
