December 23, 2015, North Bay, ON, Canada – Knight Piésold’s North Bay office has an annual year-end donations drive that took a slightly different approach in 2015. As in previous years, the North Bay Santa Fund, which provides meals and gifts to over 800 families, was to be our main focus, but we thought we would spread our attention to many other local charities that could also benefit. Staff members were asked to nominate a charity that they are passionate about, with the stipulation that funds stay within North Bay and surrounding communities. With this, we generated a list of 15 incredibly worthwhile organizations.

Our donations total was bolstered by the help of our annual Pie-in-the-Face event, along with some baked goods and overall great holiday spirit. With Knight Piésold generously matching staff donations, we raised a phenomenal $30,000!

These donations helped provide:

• Safety and support to women, children, and families in crisis
• School supplies and clothing to children in need
• Food, education, and kindness to those experiencing food insecurity
• Education, experience, and agricultural awareness
• The ability for local scientific and professional volunteers to encourage youth to pursue an interest in the field of science
• Shelter, food, veterinary care, and enrichment to local animals
• Resources and support to families at risk
